Before you place it
Three rules, and the rest is judgement.

Clear space, and a floor under the size.
Keep the width of one leg of the gate empty on all four sides, measured from the ink. It is self-measuring: hold the leg against the margin and you have checked it. The mark alone never goes below 16 px tall, the wordmark lockup never below 130 px wide, the product lockup never below 220 px wide. Below any of those, use the mark alone.

Never recolour the accent.
Ember has three values and they are not interchangeable: #C64518 for fills and headline-size text on the light ground, #B53E13 for accent text at body size and under on the light ground, #FF7A50 for marks and text on the dark ground. There is no fourth ember, no second hue, and no blue anywhere in this identity. The rung is the only accent in the mark.

One file per ground, and the mono pair for one-colour work.
Files ending in on-paper go on a light ground, on-night on a dark one. The mono pair is for one-colour reproduction: engraving, a single-ink print, a partner's monochrome logo strip. Do not fake a mono version by recolouring the rung, because the two-colour files draw the arch in #14120F and #F3EFE6, not in black and white.
The mark and the lockups
A rounded arch on two legs, with one rung across it.
Read three ways at once: the letter A, an archway, a gate. The rung is the threshold, the one place a human acts, and it is the only part that carries the accent.
Ready to place
Banners, cards, avatars, a signature and a letterhead.
Rendered at the exact size each surface asks for. If you need one at another size, take the pack and the source is in it.

Two grounds, one accent.
Ember marks the threshold, the one place a human acts. Warm neutrals everywhere else, no second hue, and no blue. Every contrast pair is measured in the two files below the grid.

Type
Schibsted Grotesk and Geist Mono, and one law.
Tight at display size, zero at body size, wide at the label layer. Both faces are variable, both are under the SIL Open Font Licence, and both ship in the pack with their licences.

Terms
Use it to refer to us, not to be us.
The mark and the name are ours. Use them to link to Archbotics, to name us as a partner or a supplier, or to credit work we did. Do not use them as your own mark, inside your own logo, or in a way that suggests we endorse something we have not seen. Both typefaces are licensed separately under the SIL Open Font Licence 1.1 and their licence files travel with them in the pack.
